Stephanie Tarrell- Principal

Students are expected to attend school each day and arrive on time.  School district policy and state law require daily attendance for young people between the ages of 6 and 18 (E.C. 48200 48400).  The only excused absences are for student illness and the need to attend a funeral.  After 5 absences or lates a letter will be sent home.  Follow-up letters are then sent with a scheduled conference (SART) with the principal.  Continued violation of the Ed Code may result in a SARB hearing.

Twin Rivers requires that anyone who wants to volunteer at our school complete the volunteer application process.  Please understand that these requirements were put in place for the safety of our children.

Volunteers must follow the same check-in procedures as visitors.

More information

If your child will be absent please call us and follow the instructions given:

  1. For absences please call (916) 566-1960 option 2
  2. Please leave a message with your child's name and his or her teachers name and what grade they are in.

  3. On the message let us know why your student did not come to school.

Early Release Wednesdays

Remember Wednesday is an early out day, so students are dismissed at 12:27pm.  Please pick up your children on time.

Arriving Late to School

It is important that your child arrive to school on time every day. If your student is late to school he/she needs to check in the front office first. Otherwise the student may be marked absent.

Leaving Early

If it is necessary for a student to leave school before regular dismissal, he/she must be signed out through the school office.  Any person signing out a child must be on the emergency card and have valid identification.  Please schedule appointments after school in order to avoid interruptions in the instructional day.

Visitors on Campus

All visitors on campus must sign in at the office and receive a Visitor’s Badge.  Parents/adults arriving at the end of the school day are asked to wait for their child/children near the tables in the quad area.  This is to insure the safety of all children and allows teachers to dismiss students on time.  If you need to speak with a teacher, please wait until all students have been dismissed.
